" To hear Corey play the blues is to step back into history to the formative days of the genre, when field hollers mixed with African rhythms, jazz, folklore and even a touch of vaudeville to create something distinctly American. The Panama City musician has his eye on the future. Ry Cooder, Taj Mahal, Norman Blake and Doc Watson would be tapping their feet. "

"Corey Hall has been honing his chops for several years, which you might not believe from his youthful demeanor. But the true vine American folk roots run strong through his music, both in the original songs and his deft performances of the old treasures of the past century. His voice rings true, combined with a preternatural memory for lyrics. I've never seen him look a "cheat sheet" or even a song list once – something that used to be a given, although in this age of the clip-on tablet and short attention spans it's become a rarity. Hearing this songster is invigorating and an inspiration to lovers of this country's musical roots."

Hailing from the Gulf Coast region of Florida, singer-songwriter Corey Hall strikes a harmonious balance between celebrating the roots of blues, drawing inspiration from legends like Mississippi John Hurt to R.L. Burnside, and crafting his own unique brand of music. Through creative exploration, he’s found avenues to cultivate his own voice within the blues genre, representing his profound love for this musical tradition. ‘Orange Peel Hop,’ Corey’s debut single, is a testament to his musical journey. Blending past and future in his performances, he leaves his audiences enriched, captivated, and looking for more of the "Old Time" sound.
Corey currently is performing 3–4-hour gigs in the Florida Panhandle of original songs and Old Time folk and blues classics and is always willing to travel. Please contact for details!

Corey was born and raised in Florida. Folk and Blues music was played around him from a very young age. It now resonates through him as an artist and a musician.
It's been a long road. He started performing folk songs under the name "Burnt Reynolds" 14 years ago. Living in a tourist town, its hard going for an original artist. Having expanded his song book to include old time folk, blues and country classics, he performs 3-4 hour sets regularly in the Panama City area. I am glad to say that he is FINALLY recording his story through sound! He also currently plays in a Psychedelic rock band "Elder Flovvers"

"Psych Night"
